Parisian cafés, salons de thé, croissants and patisseries, good atmosphere, the Eiffel Tower are just a few things that charmed me in the “city of love”. Paris is simply amazing, but visiting for the first time may be overwhelming. So, in order to experience the best of my trip to Paris, I organized everything from the beginning from neighborhood where the hotel was, to sightseeings, shopping and places to eat.
During my visit to Paris I’ve found some good places to eat that I definitely recommend and where I would gladly return when visiting Paris again. So, here are my favorite’s restaurants in Paris:
DS Café Victor Hugo served tasty and healthy food from gourmand salads and piadinas to delicious desserts and fresh juice. My first impression was that here the locals hang out. For sure I want to go where the locals eat. We ordered piadines, the meal was so delicious. Even now I remember the taste of flatbread fait maison.
They have 3 locations in Paris, we went to DS Café 16ème, which is 10 minutes walk from Arc de Triomphe. I also recommend strolling the surrounding streets. It’s quietly away from the busy Paris, with good shopping and many impressive photogenic Parisian buildings.
Address: DS Café 16ème: 3 rue de Sontay 75016 Paris
Other locations in Paris for DS Café:
DS Café 17ème: 25 avenue Niel 75017 Paris
DS Café 8ème: 18 avenue Franklin Roosevelt 75008 Paris
Nearest transport: metro M2 Victor Hugo
Les Bains du Marais – it is a cozy restaurant and also a SPA in the Marais neighborhood, which also was my favorite area for strolls and small and chic boutiques shopping. I really recommend this area for good cafés and eats. The restaurant opens starting with 7 p.m. Until this hour you can serve tea, desserts and other cold and hot drinks. We ate an absolutely delicious apple strudel and some Lebanese as en entree.
Address: 33 Rue de Blancs Manteaux – 75004 Paris
Nearest transport: there are several metro stops around, such us M11 Rambuteau, but I recommend Hotel de Ville, as it has two connections, M1 & M11
Chez Prosper – a restaurant located just near our hotel. I love the vibrant atmosphere, good food of course and the charming view of the snowy weather. It was so cozy.
Address: 7 Avenue du Trône, 75011 Paris
Nearest transport: Metro Nation M1, M2, M6 & M9, RER A
Looking for the best crepes? I found them at La Crêperie, a cozy place located in the Latin Quarter, in close vicinity of Le Jardin du Luxembourg, another hood that I recommend for good and cheap eats and shopping. We ate some delicious crepes enjoying an amazing view over the The Panthéon.
Address: 12 Rue Soufflot, 75005, Paris
Nearest transport: metro M10 Cluny – la Sorbonne, RER B Louxembourg
