Checking in: Hotel La Maison Favart
The true magic of Paris stays in its timeless charm and elegance, in its iconic places which speak about history and art. I love to rediscover all of these places every-time when I visit Paris. Staying in the right neighborhood and at a good hotel is as important as the journey itself, making the whole experience an unforgettable one. And my last trip to Paris was an unforgettable experience thanks to Hotel La Maison Favart, a chic luxury boutique hotel located right in the center of Paris.
If I summarize my experience at La Maison Favart in 3 words, these would be: hospitality, Parisian charm, elegance.
La Maison Favart is a chic boutique hotel, which dates from 1824, being one of the oldest establishments in Paris, with a beautiful history. House of Charles-Simon Favart, the first Director of the Opéra – Comique, and Justine Favart – his wife, the hotel kept not only the name of the French writer, but also the soul of that romantic era.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a beautiful and charming place, where we found a friendly and professional staff. We arrived before check-in time, during the breakfast time and, it felt so welcoming to be invited into the breakfast area to serve a delicious French croissant with a coffee. The art of serving and the constant attention was present during our entire stay, the concierge desk was always at our disposal with useful information and with the history of the hotel, which was so pleasant to discover. During our stay I realized that the true character of the hotel is making its guests to feel like home, completed by the elegant charm and Parisian joie de vivre.
The breakfast at La Maison Favart
I just love a good breakfast when I am traveling and it was great to start the day with some French delicacies. And when it comes to French croissants, baguettes or pancakes, I am the number one fan. The salon where the breakfast is served kept the same chic design with a romantic touch as the rest of the hotel, making me feel like serving breakfast in a bourgeois Parisian house.
The well-being area
The well-being was my moment of complete relaxation and a perfect way to treat myself after spending time visiting all the attractions Paris has to offer, especially after a rainy day. The area is divided into a fitness room, a pool and the sauna, being dedicated to the well-being of both the body and the mind.
The location and the most important attractions nearby
The Hotel La Maison Favart has a great location, being very close to the most important attractions in Paris, but at the same time in a tranquil and discreet part of Opéra neighborhood, one of the best areas to stay in Paris, especially for first time visitors. I enjoyed exploring the area and found so many good restaurants, cute cafés and boutiques nearby. Places like the Opera Garnier, Louvre Museum, the Palais Royal or Tuilleries Gardens are just a 15 minutes’ walk away from the hotel. Also, Galeries Lafayette are located at less than 10 minutes’ walk away from the hotel, being one of my favorite places to shop and a great location for a panoramic view over the city, from its roof top terrace.
Our room overlooked the Opéra Comique, which is one of the oldest musical dramatic institutions in France and where the history of the hotel started. The room gave me a feeling of comfort and cosynes, being an ideal and tranquil place to return after we explored the lively Paris. Each room of the hotel has a different story, a unique design and even a different name. We stayed in the Boudoir Suedois room, with a classic and elegant design, being a place favorable to tranquil and peaceful atmosphere.
La Maison Favart invites their guests to step back in the romantic era, preserving so well, through its design, the Parisian charm of the Age of Enlightenment, being at the same time more than a hotel, but a homey place, where guests feel more than just customers.
