I recently went on a memorable 3-day journey through Paris in the enchanting season of fall, and I believe it’s truly the ideal time to experience this magical city. The crisp autumn air sets the perfect stage for leisurely strolls, and the city’s parks and gardens are adorned with a breathtaking array of golden and ruby leaves, along with seasonal flowers that only enhance the city’s natural beauty. And of course, there’s the iconic Eiffel Tower, standing tall against the backdrop of the autumn splendor.
If you’re searching for the ultimate Paris itinerary for a 3-day adventure during this enchanting season, you’ve come to the right place. Paris has long held the top spot in my heart among European capitals, and it’s easy to see why. Its unique charm and vibrant atmosphere are truly unrivaled, and during the fall, it takes on an added layer of charm.
Day 1 in Paris – Galeries Lafayette, Opéra Garnier, Pont Alexandre III, Trocadero and Eiffel Tower
Our Parisian adventure began with a morning arrival, and soon after checking in at the charming Hotel La Maison Favart (you can read about the stay at La Maison Favart in the previously blog post, here), we embarked on a short 10-minute walk to Galeries Lafayette. I had long yearned to explore this iconic Parisian shopping haven, and with our hotel conveniently close by, it was the perfect opportunity to immerse ourselves in its opulent offerings. Beyond its shopping allure, Galeries Lafayette boasts a magnificent terrace that treated us to a mesmerizing panoramic view of the city.
Right across the street, the splendid Opéra Garnier beckoned. From its terrace, I marveled at the sight of the Eiffel Tower and even Montmartre in the distance. This charming venue is an ideal spot to unwind, soak in the scenery, and savor a drink, especially when the weather is on your side.

After we had lunch, we went to Pont Alexandre III, another favorite spot in Paris for walks at dusk and for Eiffel Tower views. From there we walked along Seine to Trocadero to catch the lightning of Eiffel Tower by night.
Day 2 in Paris – Louvre Museum, Jardin des Tuileries, Palace Royal and Jardin du Palais Royal
Our second day in Paris was destined for a cultural immersion that began with the world-renowned Louvre Museum, conveniently located just a short 15-minute stroll from our hotel. This proximity added a layer of convenience to our itinerary, allowing us to seamlessly explore the nearby Palais Royal, Jardin du Palais Royal, and the picturesque Jardin des Tuileries.
Once again I realized that the location of the hotel is very important when traveling and it has a major role in organizing all the trip.
Day 3 in Paris – Jardin du Luxembourg, Latin Quarter, cafés, walks along Seine
On our final day in Paris, we took the opportunity to bask in the glorious weather by starting our journey in the tranquil haven of Jardin du Luxembourg. This beautifully manicured garden is not only a serene retreat but also one of the must-see Paris sights.
From there, we ventured into the enchanting Latin Quarter, renowned for its charming streets, delightful shops, and inviting cafés. The Latin Quarter is a treasure trove of both history and modern-day Parisian culture, making it an essential stop on any Paris itinerary.
To cap off our unforgettable trip to Paris, we took a leisurely walk back to our hotel, following the serene banks of the Seine River. This picturesque stroll alongside the Seine not only offered a serene and scenic conclusion to our journey but also provided a splendid opportunity to soak in the iconic Parisian sights that line its shores.

Throughout my three unforgettable days in Paris, I had the privilege of savoring the exquisite fall foliage at a leisurely pace. Today, I’m delighted to share with you a curated list of the most spectacular spots where you can revel in the mesmerizing autumn colors of Paris:
Rue de l’Universite
A personal favorite of mine, Rue de l’Universite offers a mesmerizing view of the Eiffel Tower. Located not far from Trocadero, this area is perfect for capturing stunning photographs, taking a leisurely walk, or simply basking in the golden hues of the surrounding trees.
Avenue de New York
Strolling along Avenue de New York by the Seine is a delightful way to revel in the autumn splendor while capturing the perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. This charming boulevard offers plenty of secluded spots for capturing photographs, ensuring a tranquil experience without the bustling crowds. If you find yourself at Trocadero, make sure not to overlook this picturesque street, as it stands as the primary promenade along the beautiful Seine River.
Avenue de Camoens
Located in the serene vicinity of the bustling Trocadero, Avenue de Camones offers a peaceful escape for admiring the best Eiffel Tower views, elegantly embraced by the autumn foliage. This location is a photographer’s dream, boasting the advantage of being far less congested than Trocadero while still affording you the ideal, unobstructed view of the iconic Eiffel Tower.
Jardin du Palais Royal
The Palais Royal‘s exquisite architecture is harmoniously complemented by its enchanting garden, a tranquil oasis of beauty nestled in the heart of Paris. This idyllic spot is made for leisurely strolls, quiet moments of reading, or simply indulging in daydreams amid its captivating ambiance.
Jardin des Tuileries
Jardin des Tuileries is a marvelous garden, located near Louvre Museum. I was fascinated by the clear-cut shape of the trees, perfectly aligned alongside the promenade area.
Jardin du Luxemburg
Jardin du Luxembourg, or the Luxembourg Garden, holds a special place in my heart as the ideal haven for savoring the serenity of Paris. In the fall season, this garden transforms into a veritable oasis, bedecked in radiant golden hues and exuding an unmatched sense of tranquility. It’s the perfect sanctuary to escape the bustling energy of the city. One of its most enchanting features is The Medici Fountain, discreetly veiled by the lush leaves of the trees, adding an air of mystery to this enchanting retreat.
Favorite restaurants in Paris
The places we ate were located mainly near our hotel, since we found some good restaurants and bistros nearby. Mersi Jerome, a bistro located 3 minutes’ walk away from the hotel. This gem served up delicious French pastries, mouthwatering sandwiches, and freshly baked baguettes, making it the perfect spot for a quick and satisfying meal.
Hanoi Cà phê, situated at 30 Boulevard des Italiens, 75009 Paris, captured our hearts with its inviting ambiance, captivating design, and, most importantly, the incredibly delicious Vietnamese cuisine.
If you’re in the mood for delectable French pancakes, look no further than La Crêperie. Nestled in the vibrant Latin Quarter, and conveniently close to Le Jardin du Luxembourg, this charming establishment at 12 Rue Soufflot, 75005, Paris, served up delectable crêpes that truly satisfied our taste buds.
