The autumn seems to paint the picturesque hills of Transylvania in different shades of red, yellow and orange. It is my favorite season to photograph nature, to go for long walks and hikes. This autumn I explored the places closer to my home, the idyllic valleys of Bran region remaining my favorites.
There the time stood still. The everyday picture of these picturesque places is made by the simplicity of life, the beauty of nature, the hills surrounded by Bucegi Mountains and Piatra Craiului Mountains. This is where I enjoyed nature lately, by taking it at a slow peace.
I have put together a useful guide to inspire you to visit the surroundings including some easy trails which will be a perfect weekend getaway.
The hotel and the area we stayed
Although there are many accommodation options in the area, most often I choose the same hotel- Radsor Hotel in Râșnov. This hotel meets best everything I am looking for an accommodation plus it’s a great value for money. The location is perfect as well, Râșnov citadel being a small yet beautiful and cosy village located very close to the main trails I will mention below.
