Bath soak became one of my favorite self-care activity especially during misty and cold winter days. A relaxing bath after a long day is an easy and inexpensive way for calm your mind and well-being.
A good essential oil, a candle, a book, a relaxation bath are small habits with a big impact in feeling good at home, creating a real sanctuary of calm.
How to make your own lavender bath soak
Lavender bath soak is very easy to prepare and the list of the ingredients are pretty simple. Just mix some salt, with essential oil and dried lavender (I added some dried petal rose as well):
- salt: mix Epsom salt and pink Himalayan salt. You can use any type of salt single or in combinations: Epsom salt, pink Himalayan salt or sea salt.
- lavender essential oil. But any type of essential oil works very well.
- dried lavender
- dried petal roses – I used it as an extra since I always keep some dried flowers for different purposes and projects.
During summer I bought fresh lavender and now I am using it for the scent or in this particular case to prepare bath soak at home.
The salt is a rich magnesium source helping muscles to relax, while the infusion of lavender is a perfect treatment for mind and a good sleep.
